COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today that the Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Rink at Columbus Blue Jackets All-Star Winter Park, presented by Worthington Industries, will be open for daily public skating sessions Friday, January 16 through Sunday, January 25. The NHL-sized rink is currently under construction at McFerson Commons across the street from Nationwide Arena.
Admission to skate will be $5 and includes skate rental. The rink will be also equipped with bleacher seating for spectators.

In addition to more than 50 hours of public skating sessions over 10 days, the community rink will also feature 25 hours of ice time serving 15 local youth and amateur hockey associations and adult hockey programs. The schedule also includes programming to involve the Ohio Blades youth sled hockey team, the Ohio Warriors sled hockey team for disabled veterans and the Special Hockey program for individuals with developmental disabilities. Another highlight of the hockey activities will be an official game between the Under 18 Ohio AAA Blue Jackets, currently ranked third in the country, and the northern Ohio rival Cleveland Barons.
The rink will be open daily starting on Friday, January 16 with the remaining attractions of All-Star Winter Park opening Thursday, January 22.
