Rimer Rambles for the first time in November

by Staff Writer / Columbus Blue Jackets

November 1

First off... congrats to Pascal Leclaire who today was named 2nd star of the month for his outstanding start to the season. Leclaire finished second to Henrik Zetterberg of the Red Wings who leads the NHL in the scoring race, but we can all make a case that Pascal in fact should have been the #1 star of the month!! Read more on Leclaire's honor.

Pascal gets the night off tonight as Fredrik Norrena gets the nod in goal. I expect tonight's game will be a tough physical game. The Ducks, as I mentioned yesterday, get three players back from injury tonight and are close to 100 percent health wise, save for Todd Bertuzzi. The also have memories of getting shut out in the Jackets season opener at Nationwide and will be looking to avenge that loss.

Also, keep an eye on Jared Boll. The Ducks felt he should have been suspended for his hit on Travis Moen. We could see some fur fly tonight but I don't think we will see Jody Shelley in the lineup. Hitch wants to roll four lines in the second of back to backs, but we will see.

We head home right after tonight's start... arrive in the early morning hours Friday and the team then begins preparations for Sunday's important home start at Nationwide against St. Louis. Hope to see you there, the boys deserve to see a good crowd in their support for what has been a terrific start to a season that is opening eyes all around the NHL.
