Rimer: Frozen in Edmonton

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

November 26

Blogging in this afternoon from Frigid Edmonton this afternoon where the present time is 1:50 p.m. and the temperature is minus-17 Celsius! If my math is right it's minus 2 Fahrenheit! But honestly, for a guy that worked here for four and a half years out of college for the BCC TV network... it's not that bad if your dressed appropriately. Hat, coat, gloves and layers of clothes! It's actually refreshing!

The team went through a brisk morning skate... lots of chatter and energy that we hope will be on display against a struggling Oilers team that finishes up a six game home stand tonight.

The only line up change from Saturday's thrilling Shoot-Out win over Detroit will be Kris Russell back in the lineup for Duvie Westcott.

News on Fredrik Modin... he is with us on the trip... and today took part in the morning skate... his first practice with the team!! The Jackets won't rush him back into the lineup, but its great news that he has rejoined his team-mates for practice. It's been a frustrating time for Freddie who wants so much to contribute to the team's success - he is missed!

Pascal Leclaire goes again tonight as the Blue Jackets look to start the three game Western Canadian swing with their third straight win!!

*Throughout the season, AAA will bring you the Broadcaster's Blogs - "Davidge Dishes" and "Rimer Ramblings". The Columbus Blue Jackets broadcasters will try to keep you update on all the behind the scenes action through their blogs, especially when the Blue Jackets hit the road. The next road game is 11/28 @Vancouver.
