Charlesbourg, Quebec (Feb. 17, 2010) - Exhibition Games 3 and 4 - Two more exhibition games for the boys at Rejean-Lemelin Arena as they tune up for tomorrow's tournament battle against Austria. First up, the Tri-State Selects (kids from Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut), followed by a match with England.
Game one saw the Jackets fall behind for the first time during the trip, trailing the Selects 3-0 after the first period. The Jackets fought back with three goals of their own in the second period – Marshal King (unassisted) and two by Kole Sherwood (Nick Schantz; Jack Roslovic, Karsten Green-Church with helpers) – but came out of the period trailing 4-3. The third goal would be the last for the Jackets as they ended up losing 6-3 on an empty net goal.
The Jackets found their shooting touch against England, winning 7-0 on goals by Bryan Babcock (Carson Meyer, Josh Basso), Josh Basso (Nick Schantz, Marshal King), Kole Sherwood (Jack Roslovic, Karsten Green-Church), Marshal King (unassisted), Brian Lee (Jack Roslovic), Cam Sangster (Dillon Miller), and Kole Sherwood (Jack Roslovic). Andrew Pettenski recorded his second shutout.
