Allen York, G
20 years old, 6-4, 180 pounds (Wetaskiwin, AB)
Drafted in the sixth round, 158th overall, in the 2007 Entry Draft
Allen York stopped 22 of 25 shots in the elimination game for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Sunday as the Engineers lost to Brown in a three game series in the opening round of the ECAC Playoffs. York stopped 71 of 77 total shots in the series. He finishes his sophomore season with a 13-10-3 record, a 2.64 goals against average, and a .907 save percentage. York improved from last season where he posted a 5-11-0 record with a 3.14 goals against average and a .899 save percentage as a freshman.
Theo (Teddy) Ruth, D
20 years old, 6-1, 208 (Naperville, IL)
Drafted in the second round, 46th overall, by the Washington Capitals in the 2007 Entry Draft. Traded to Columbus Blue Jackets in 2008 for Sergei Fedorov
Ruth registered two assists in Notre Dame's final win of the season as the Fighting Irish topped the Michigan Wolverines 5-3. Ruth then registered two shots and two blocks in the opening round of the NCAC Playoffs, but Notre Dame fell to Ohio State in a two game series. Ruth finished his junior season after registering 0-5-5 in 20 games played. Last season, Ruth played in 36 games scoring two goals and adding five assists for a total of seven points. He finished with 42 penalty minutes served and had a +11 plus/minus rating.
Nick Sucharski, F
21 year old, 6-2, 190 (Toronto, ON)
Drafted in the fifth round, 136th overall, in the 2006 Entry Draft
Surchaski added an assist for the Michigan State Spartans in their final regular season match as they tied Bowling Green 2-2 on Feb. 27. The Spartans will face Michigan this weekend in the quarterfinals of the CCHA Playoffs and look to advance to the NCAA tournament. Sucharksi ended the season on a hot streak, scoring five goals and dishing out four assists for nine points in his last 13 games. Surchaski had only three goals and six assists in the previous 24 games. For the year, the senior forward has eight goals and 10 assists to total 18 points. Surcharski also has 71 shots on goal and a +3 plus/minus rating
Trent Vogelhuber, F
19 years old, 6-2, 180 (Dublin, OH)
Drafted in the seventh round, 211th overall, in the 2007 Entry Draft
Vogulhuber added a goal in Miami's last regular season win, a 6-2 victory over Ohio State on Feb. 26. The Redhawks will advance to face the Buckeyes in the second round of the CCHA Playoffs this weekend in Oxford, OH. The goal was Vogelhuber's sixth of the year. The sophomore finished the regular season with six goals and three assists for nine points and had a +3 plus/minus rating.
