Brent Regner, D
19 years old, 5-11, 175 pounds (Westlock, AB)
Columbus' 7th pick, 137th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft
Regner is now in his fourth year with the Vancouver Giants of the WHL. During the 2007-08 Playoffs, Regner developed a hot hand, leading all defenseman on the Giants in scoring. He's picked up right where he left off last year as through 25 games played thus far, he already has registered six goals and 15 assists good for seventh on the team and third overall for defenseman. He is also +26, good for second on the team overall.
Teddy Ruth, D
19 years old, 6-1, 199 pounds (Naperville, IL)

Just this past week, Ruth was named to the United States National Junior Team that will compete at the 2009 World Junior Championships. Teddy has notched one goal and 16 penalty minutes in 13 games during his sophomore season at Notre Dame thus far after being named Notre Dame's Rookie of the Year during his freshman season. Last year he appeared in 42 games as a freshman, scoring two goals with three assists for five points while Notre Dame finished as Runner-up in the 2008 Frozen Four to Boston College.
Nick Holden, D
21 years old, 6-3, 195 pounds (St. Albert, Alberta)

Nick is coming off of a solid season in 2007-08 in which he saw extensive time with the Chillawack Bruins of the WHL. In 70 games with the Bruins last season, Nick registered 22 goals alongside 38 assists as the Bruins lost in the conference quarter-finals of the WHL Playoffs. In 11 games thus far with the Syracuse Crunch, Holden has 11 penalty minutes. He has missed extensive time thus far due to injury.
Will Weber D
19 years old, 6-4, 205 pounds (Gaylord, Michigan)
Columbus' 3rd pick, 53rd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft
Weber is enrolled at Miami University and is seeing the ice for the Redhawks. In 13 games thus far for Miami, Will has registered one assist and 24 penalty minutes. Will played in 46 games for the Chicago Steel of the USHL last year, recording 10 goals and 18 assists. He was also named defenseman of the week twice during his tenure with the Steel.
Allen York, G
19 years old, 6-4, 170 pounds (Wetaskiwin, Alberta)
Columbus' 6th pick, 158th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft
Allen began his collegiate hockey career this fall after enrolling at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and playing for the Engineers. In the Governer's Cup third-place game, York led the engineers to a 2-1 victory over Robert Morris by a score of 2-1. York made 40 saves and only allowed one goal while improving to 1-3-0 with a 3.50 GAA and an .897 save percentage.
