Predators Tonight Make First Appearance at Nationwide this Season!

by Blue Jackets Staff / Columbus Blue Jackets

December 14

The Blue Jackets are hoping that past performances continue tonight... no, not Saturday's disappointing loss vs. Anaheim or the two shootout losses to the Predators in Nashville, but rather the three game sweep last season over the Predators at Nationwide. One thing is a certainty, it will be a close game. The two teams have seen four of the last six meetings go to a shootout!

Jason Chimera with his improved play, and Coach Hitchcock's displeasure with the top line, is going to replace Kristian Huselius on the first line with Vermette and Nash. Huselius moves to the second line with R.J. Umberger and Jake Voracek.

Steve Mason will again start between the pipes for Columbus while Pekka Rinne goes for Nashville.

The game will be televised in HD beginning with Blue Jackets Live at 6:30 p.m. with host Jeff Hogan.
