With just about 60 games down for each team, we're in the home stretch for the 2014-15 NHL season. Over the years, we've seen incredible runs to the playoffs late in the season, which are often parlayed into postseason success. And the number one reason for that is typically a hot goaltender. With that in mind, here are the five hottest goalies in the month of February.
Cory Schneider is on fire in February, boasting a .939 SV% over eight games this month. That's an impressive number – until you realize that he actually put up a .940 SV% in January. Simply put, 2015 has been a good year in net so far for Schneider.
Of course, despite his stellar save numbers, his record this month is 5-3-0. That's not a bad record by any means, but it could be much better, as his offense only managed one goal in each of those three losses.
