Post-Game Quotes

Blue Jackets Head Coach Scott Arniel
Commenting on tonight's game…

"We were running with nine forwards for most of or half of the games. Great job by the guys, we had all kinds of combinations going, then we got (R.J. Umberger) back. We found a way (to get a point). (Los Angeles) is a good hockey team, playing well on the other side. We stayed after them and we scored a couple of big time goals. Real proud of the guys the way they battled hard."

Commenting on the play of Forward R.J. Umberger
"He's (Umberger) been a trooper and there is a reason why he's played so many games in a row. He certainly helped us (when he came back into the game) because it got our lines closer to normal. It takes a lot to take him out of the lineup. He's always going to battle hit way back. He's a warrior and he wants to be a part of this."

Blue Jackets Forward R.J. Umberger

Commenting on tonight's game…

"You have to look at the positive, we got a point here. It's unfortunate that they got two and they are moving up further on us, but we battled pretty hard. Tonight was a hard game and we stuck with it. This is a good hockey team, we stuck with it and to get three goals against this team is a good accomplishment tonight."

Blue Jackets Left Wing Rick Nash

Commenting on tonight's game…

"It's big to get the point. It shows how much character we have. We fought through a little adversity. With the lines getting mixed up like that its tough to keep a flow. It's a good point."

Los Angeles Kings Head Coach Terry Murray

Commenting on tonight's game…

"We have had two days here to recover to get ready for maybe the biggest game of the year. A conference game and both teams are trying to push themselves into the playoffs. I liked our first period. I thought that was a good start. Then we started to get away from doing the right things in the second period. We were a little too fancy and a little too cute at times. We lost our responsibility in the checking part of the game. It was back and forth and we are going to need to be more focused as we move through the rest of this trip."
