Minnesota Wild vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

Preseason - September 28, 2010

Blue Jackets Head Coach Scott Arniel
Commenting on tonight's game…

"I liked the fact that we hung with it and kept battling. We had some trouble getting pucks out at our blueline. It got a little wide open and that's not what we want to do. We just hammered away and hammered away and it was a great goal to tie it up."

Commenting on the goal left wing Nikita Filatov scored…
"He can hit those one timers pretty good. I was complaining to (Assistant Coach) Bob (Boughner) that he was drifting deeper and deeper into the corner. He had the perfect angle and it was a heck of a shot and a good fake by Anton (Stralman) too. It's a great shot."

Columbus Blue Jackets Player Quotes

Blue Jackets Left Wing Kristian Huselius

Commenting on tonight's game…

"There are always points up for grabs in the shootout and we wanted to make sure we started out on the right foot this year and we did, so that's good. We got our legs moving in the third, we had a lot of chances and we came back. We got the two points and that's the most important thing to get that winning feeling."

Blue Jackets Left Wing Nikita Filatov
Commenting on tonight's game...

"We are probably just trying to find our game right now from game to game we are playing better. Its easy to see that we have more shots and more chances to score today and I think we are getting better."

On his first goal…
"It was a pretty good feed and we practiced it today in the morning."

Minnesota Wild Quotes
Wild Head Coach Todd Richards
Commenting on tonight's game…

"I am disappointed about the result. You look through the first two periods, I liked the way we played. For the most part there are some guys that we need to get more out of their games. It's tough to win games in this league with only 14 or 15 guys. You really need contributions from all 19 players that are involved in the game. That's what we need. We need everyone firing on all cylinders and I think we got more contributions tonight from players whose games in the first four games weren’t great. I am coming out of tonight with some positives but obviously we have a lot of work in front of us."
