Blue Jackets Head Coach Ken Hitchcock
Commenting on tonight’s game…

"I think we spent the first period just watching. It didn't feel like 19 shots, but it felt like we weren't checking very hard. We started to really play in the second and third period, they way we had to, to beat them."

Commenting on the third periods for the Blue Jackets this season…
"We saw some things with the goaltender and thought we could take advantage of and (Methot) did a great job of jumping up into the play (to score that goal). We've been able to do that all year, bounce back in the third period or in a reasonable amount of time to keep the wind in our sail. That's why we're getting points every night now."

Commenting on goaltender Steve Mason
"The first period was excellent. You are going to need your goalie some nights (and tonight) we looked like we had the stare going – we looked like we were in awe of the stage or just watching. We needed him in the first period and he came up big and then we started to play."

Commenting on Jan Hejda-Mike Commodore-Marc Methot …
"(Hejda) and Commodore have been excellent for us; they've been a good pair for a little while now, really strong. As a pair they have great chemistry and they're a little bit underrated, with the puck too. The other guy for us has been Methot. Methot's really stepped up in pretty tough situation, taking Rusty (Klesla's) spot, and he’s held it together and done a pretty good job."
