Post-Game Quotes

Blue Jackets Head Coach Scott Arniel

Commenting on tonight's game…

"We fell apart after all three of those ugly goals that went in (in the first period). We started the game how we wanted to start the game. The first goal off of a bad bounce in and the next two were awful goals and it took the wind out of our sails. We could have lived with the first goal; it was the next two that hurt us."

Commenting on the losing streak…
"We have to figure out the remedy and how to be better. We have to find a way to win (Monday). I thought that we had a real good conversation after the game last night and again today. You have to move on from period to period, from game to game. You play 82 games, so you can't sit and dwell on what happens; that's a big part of my job this year."

Blue Jackets Left Wing R.J. Umberger

Commenting on tonight's game…

"We need to stick together. We are going to get through this. We didn't think it was going to be easy, we knew there were going to be tough times. We are going to push through it, we are going to stick together as a team and get thorough it. It's not an easy league. You don't just walk through and win every game. We are going to get better, we are going to get through it. It's December, there is a lot of hockey to be played. We are right in it. What we have to do right now is win some games."

Blue Jackets Defenseman Mike Commodore

Commenting on tonight's game…

"There is nowhere really to go but up. A couple of though games. There were all over us right from the beginning tonight. They have a good team. We go off to a rough start. We will practice tomorrow, I imagine, and the good thing is we have a bunch of games coming up so we will have to get ready for Dallas on Monday."

Pittsburgh Penguins Head Coach Dan Bylsma

Commenting on tonight's game…

"Early on a couple of times you could see they put pucks in and the wanted to come real hard with the fore-check and try to set up their game. Our guys did a great job of eliminating that and executing and getting out of there not allowing them to get to their game. The power play like that getting goals in the first period put us in a good spot."
