Play Ball

by Staff Writer / Columbus Blue Jackets
How does a team get ready for a big hockey game? By playing a little baseball in the dressing room. That's what the Crunch players were doing earlier today, after the morning skate. Zenon Konopka was throwing his self-proclaimed, famous knuckleball which was made out of tape. He gave up only a softly hit ground ball to Joakim Lindstrom.

On a serious note, the Crunch put on their game faces right after they were done with their ballgame. They know how big a win tonight could be. It would give them a 3-1 lead in the series, with Game 5 here in Winnipeg tomorrow. Captain Konopka said he feels the team is playing better every game.

Welcome Back - Dan Smith will play his first game of the series tonight. The veteran defenseman has missed the past five games due to injury. His presence will solidify the blue line and put one of the best shot blockers in the league back on the penalty kill.

The schedule for the weekend is Game 4 Friday and Game 5 Saturday. You can listen to the games online, at sportsradio620.com or watch them on the B2 Network. The puck drops at 8:30 p.m. ET for both games.
