Platt Recalled By Columbus

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Geoff Platt from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced Saturday.

Platt, 21, has collected two penalty minutes in six games with the Blue Jackets this season and has totaled 0-5-5 with 18 penalty minutes in 21 career NHL games with Columbus. He currently leads Syracuse in goals and points, while ranking second in power play goals having tallied 27-20-47 with 53 penalty minutes and is +4 in 50 games. He has 57-55-112 with 111 penalty minutes and is +5 in 116 career AHL games.

The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they visit the New York Rangers. Game time from Madison Square Garden is 7 p.m. ET with live coverage on FSN Ohio beginning with the IceBreaker pre-game show at 6:30 p.m. Coverage also includes the Blue Jackets Ice Cap post-game show immediately following the game. The game will also be broadcast on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
