PeeWee Jackets Lose 3-1 in Opening Game

The team was anxious to play Mexico after the long bus ride and abbreviated night of sleep. Arriving early at the exhibition match, the PeeWee Blue Jackets were disappointed to hear that the team from Mexico had trouble with their travels and would not be able to field enough players to make a team.

Later that same day, Team Blue Jackets took on Arby's Avalanche, a "C" team, hailing from Connecticut, in their first official game as a team. Nick Maley scored the only goal for the Blue Jackets, assisted by Kyle Gratz, with a blazing shot from the point in a 3 to 1 loss. The Team struggled at times in finding a consistent flow to their game.
