by Staff Writer / Columbus Blue Jackets
Two Blue Jackets are greater than one.

At least that was the story today at the Olympic Games.

Adam Foote, Rick Nash and Team Canada faced off against David Vyborny and the Czech Republic, with Foote and Nash taking a 3-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Radoslav Suchy scored for Slovakia to help his team stay undefeated with a 3-0 shutout of Sweden.

Foote and Nash were both scoreless in the contest, but Brad Richards, Martin St. Louis and Chris Pronger scored for Canada. Vyborny was also scoreless, with Pavel Kubina and Petr Cajanek scoring for the Czechs.

By winning, Canada (3-2) finished third among the four qualifiers in the six-team Group A. Its quarterfinal opponent will be Russia at 2:30 p.m. today. In the opening game of the Quarterfinals, Sweden and Switzerland face off at 10:30 a.m.; Team USA and Finland will face each other at 11:30 a.m.

Vyborny and Suchy will square off in the finale at 3:30 p.m. as the Czech Republic faces undefeated Slovakia.
