COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today a number of appearances and attractions that have been added to festivities around the
NHL Centennial Fan Arena
which will make its only Ohio stop at the
30th Annual Dublin Irish Festival
from Friday, August 4 through Sunday, August 6.
In keeping with the theme of celebrating the 100-year history of the NHL and its players, hockey fans and festival attendees are invited to Q&A and autograph sessions with Blue Jackets alumni Pascal Leclaire (2003-09), Andrew Cassels (2002-04), Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre (2000-04)and Dan Fritsche (2003-08). Current CBJ prospects and central Ohio natives Kole Sherwood (New Albany)andCarson Meyer (Powell) will also participate.

The weekend will offer photo opportunities with the Stanley CupĀ® and the collection of trophies captured at the 2017 NHL Awards by Nick Foligno (Mark Messier Leadership Award and King Clancy Memorial Trophy - NHL Humanitarian Awards), Sergei Bobrovsky (Vezina Trophy - best goaltender) and John Tortorella (Jack Adams Award - coach of the year).
In addition, the centerpiece of the touring fan experience is the 53-foot interactive museum truck along with a virtual reality Zamboni experience. As part of the NHL Centennial Fan Arena tour visiting all 31 NHL cities, fans are invited to participate in the League's "Recycle the Game" initiative by donating new or used hockey equipment to support youth hockey, particularly in underserved communities. Locally, donations are being accepted at the OhioHealth Chiller Dublin (7001 Dublin Park Drive, Dublin, OH 43016). Those who donate now through September 25 will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a Blue Jackets preseason game. As an added bonus, those who donate by Thursday, August 3 will also receive a voucher good for 30% off a one-day admission to the Dublin Irish Festival.
