New Year's Eve against the Oilers

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

December 31

The Blue Jackets look to make it four wins in their last five home starts tonight as they host the Edmonton Oilers. Edmonton comes to town having lost a season high five in a row and their latest loss was the first of a four game road trip that started in Minnesota Saturday in which they blew a 4-1 lead and lost in overtime.

Goaltender Pascal Leclaire gets the start in goal tonight while the only lineup change sees Joakim Lindstrom inserted into the lineup for Andrew Murray.

Manny Malhotra and Gilbert Brule both skated this morning but Mike Peca did not. All three should be available some time on the West Coast swing. Ole-Kristian Tollefsen will be a healthy scratch for the third straight game.
