Nash Out, but Three New Faces in the Lineup

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

January 16

Rick Nash, although he did take part in this morning's pre-game skate will not face the New Jersey Devils at Nationwide Arena tonight... instead is likely to return from a lower body injury Sunday night in Vancouver against the Canucks. That said there is still good news to report following the morning skate.

Three new faces are in the lineup this evening... Raffi Torres returns after missing 19 games following knee surgery, Ole-Kristian Tollefsen makes his first appearance in the Blue Jackets lineup since he too underwent knee surgery and has missed 16 games. The third new face in the lineup makes his CBJ debut tonight and that is Jason Williams, acquired earlier on this week from the Atlanta Thrashers. Williams excited to join the Jackets, will center a line with Craig MacDonald and Derek Dorsett and play the point on the power play.

Steve Mason starts in goal and will oppose Kevin Weekes for the Devils.

It's hoped that as the Blue Jackets begin a three game Western Canadian trip Sunday that both Nash and Andrew Murray will both be ready to return to action... the Jackets final three games before the All-Star break.
