COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Maxim Mayorov had an assist to help Team Russia halt Team Canada’s six-game win streak in a 4-4 tie in the seventh game of the Canada Russia Super Series in Red Deer, Alberta on Friday night.

Mayorov, the club’s fifth pick, 94th overall, in the 2007 Entry Draft, got his second assist of the tournament with a helper on Russia’s third goal at the 16:48 mark of the second period. The goal, scored by Maxim Mamin, knotted the game at 3-3.

Forward Stefan Legein, the Blue Jackets’ second pick, 37th overall, in the 2007 Entry Draft was scoreless for Canada and registered 10 penalty minutes. Goaltender Steve Mason, the club’s second pick, 69th overall, in the 2006 Entry Draft, started in net for Canada and allowed two goals.
