Mason to Make Start No. 3

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

November 8

As expected Steve Mason will make his third straight NHL start tonight against the Calgary Flames at Nationwide Arena tonight. Mason was terrific last night in a 4-3 shootout victory over Montreal, especially in he opening period stopping 18-of-19 Canadiens shots. I received two calls from my Hockey Night in Canada pal... the one and only Don Cherry this morning and he is a big fan of Mason's watching him grow in the Toronto Hockey system and will feature the 20-year-old sensation on Coaches Corner after the first period tonight!!

There's a chance we won't see Kristen Huselius face his former Calgary teammates tonight. Huselius blocked a shot last night in period three and has some swelling he hopes will subside by game time. As for Rusty Klesla it was thought he could return to action tonight but his still bothered by a sore wrist and will not play. Pascal Leclaire is feeling much better, skated again today but won't be ready until Wednesday night against the Phoenix Coyotes at the earliest.

Should be another entertaining affair at Nationwide tonight... hope to see you there.
