Mason, Commodore in, Torres Game Time Decision

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

November 19

Steve Mason will make his first start since the Red Wings convincing victory over a week ago. Mason has recovered from the back spasms that gave him problems last week and coach Hitchcock said, after today's morning skate here in Dallas, he expects his number one goaltender to regain the form he displayed in his previous four starts prior to the Detroit debacle.

Mike Commodore having missed the last two games for conditioning purposes will be in the lineup tonight and I get a feeling Coach Hitchcock will monitor his ice time as he attempts to regain the form he showed last season. What with the injuries and the flu Commodore has yet to hit his stride.

Raffi Torres activated from IR earlier today was sent back to the team Hotel this morning suffering from a stomach disorder and is questionable for tonight's game. Torres had missed the two previous games after getting hit in the mouth in the Red Wings game last Wednesday night. After all the dental work and the approximately 60 stitches, he was expected to play after two solid practices the previous two days.

Marty Turco who did not play in the Stars 3-1 win in Detroit last night gets the start for Dallas.

Tonight's game is in HD and our pre-game coverage begins at 8 p.m. Columbus time with "Blue Jackets Live" host Ray Crawford.
