LaCosta Recalled From Syracuse

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled goaltender Dan LaCosta from the Syracuse Crunch, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager Scott Howson announced Sunday. LaCosta will join the club in time for today’s preseason game at Toronto.

The Blue Jackets wrap up preseason action today when they visit the Maple Leafs for a 5 p.m. face-off at Air Canada Centre. The game will broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The club opens the 2008-09 regular season on Friday against the Dallas Stars in the first of a season-opening three-game road trip that also includes visits to the Phoenix Coyotes on October 18 and San Jose Sharks on October 21.

Tickets for 2008-09 regular season home games, including the October 17 home opener against the Nashville Predators, are on sale now at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line at The Mall at Tuttle Crossing, The Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers.
