In anticipation of training camp and the opening of the Columbus Blue Jackets’ sixth National Hockey League season, the club presents “Jackets Time 2006,” a pre-season special set to debut on FSN Ohio on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 7:30 p.m. Following the first airing, “Jackets Time 2006” can be seen on the regional network with 11 encore plays scheduled through late September.
The 30-minute program, hosted by FSN Ohio-Blue Jackets play-by-play announcer Jeff Rimer, will feature interviews with team President and General Manager Doug MacLean, Head Coach Gerard Gallant, a special feature on All-Star forward Rick Nash and the introduction of new FSN Ohio-Blue Jackets color analyst Danny Gare. Other highlights include a breakdown of the 2006-07 home schedule, a preview of the inaugural season for the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets (USHL), and a look ahead to the 2007 NHL Entry Draft which will be hosted by the Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena on June 23, 2007.

The Columbus Blue Jackets and FSN Ohio will once again carry 75 regular season games live starting Friday, Oct. 6 with the home opener against the Vancouver Canucks. FSN will also carry a bonus pre-season road game on Friday, Sept. 29 when the Blue Jackets face the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes. In addition to Ice Breaker, coverage will also include Blue Jackets Ice Cap, featuring game highlights, player interviews and analysis immediately following each game.
