The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forward Dan Fritsche off Injured Reserve and have assigned forward Alexandre Picard to the Syracuse Crunch, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, team President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced Thursday.
Fritsche, 21, has missed four games since suffering a shoulder injury during the first period of the Blue Jackets’ game vs. Phoenix on Oct. 9. He has recorded one assist and two penalty minutes in three games this season and has seven goals and eight assists for 15 points with 34 penalty minutes in 81 career NHL games, all with Columbus.
The Blue Jackets return to action Friday when they host the Los Angeles Kings at Nationwide Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m. Live coverage on FSN Ohio begins with the IceBreaker, pre-game show at 6:30 p.m. and includes the Blue Jackets Ice Cap post-game show immediately after the game. The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 the Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
