Jackets Look for Bounce Back Effort against the Flames

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

January 21

The final game prior to the All Star Break for the Blue Jackets who will attempt to bounce back from last night's hard fought but disappointing loss to the Oilers in Edmonton. The Jackets played well enough to win but an Edmonton power play goal and Ales Hemsky capping off a four point night with his second goal of the game in the final minute left us all numb!

Fast forward to this morning here at the Saddledome in Calgary and as coach Ken Hitchcock offered up to the gathered media... "Tonight it will be two angry hockey teams facing one another!" and... "We gave it away at the end and the Flames have lost two straight." ... "Should be a great game!"

One possible lineup change by necessity... will have to be made if Kristian Huselius is unable to go. Huselius left the bench last night after being cut on the wrist by Rick Nash's skate on a line change. As Coach Hitchcock suggested this morning... it could have been alot worse. Huselius was stitched up and returned later in the third period but had difficulty gripping a stick. He will be a game time decision! Steve Mason makes his 15th consecutive start tonight and will face the Flames Miikka Kiprusoff. Note the game time... 10 p.m. in Columbus on Fox Sports Ohio.
