Jackets Head Coach Ken Hitchcock on Versus

Blue Jackets Head Coach Ken Hitchcock will help VERSUS kick off its coverage of the 2007 Stanley Cup Playoffs, providing insight and analysis on the first two nights of the network's national television coverage of the National Hockey League's postseason. Hitchcock will join VERSUS analysts Bill Clement, Keith Jones and former Blue Jackets broadcaster Brian Engblom at the network's Stamford, Connecticut studios for Wednesday and Thursday nights' pre-game, intermission and post-game reports. Telecasts each night begin at 6:30 p.m. ET with the "Hockey Central" pre-game show.

Hitchcock, who was named the fourth head coach in Blue Jackets history on Nov. 22, 2006, has compiled a NHL career record of 436-278-105 with his 421 wins since the start of the 1996-97 season the most in the NHL during the past 10 seasons. He has also compiled a 66-51 record in Stanley Cup Playoffs action. In nine full seasons as a head coach, he led the Dallas Stars (six times) and Philadelphia Flyers (three times) to the playoffs nine times and captured the 1999 Stanley Cup championship with the Stars.
