Jackets Back Home to Face Another Original Six Team

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

March 10

After playing six of the last eight on the road, the Blue Jackets will play four of the next five games at home starting tonight against the NHL's overall points leader, the Boston Bruins. The Jackets are 5-1-1 in their last seven games at Nationwide Arena and will need a big effort against the Bruins who despite recent losses are a team that can beat you in so many ways.

Another great goaltending match up tonight with the NHL's top two netminders in goals against average... the Bruins Tim Thomas who leads the league in GAA 2.08 and Steve Mason of the Blue Jackets who is number two at 2.24 GAA.

This is yet another tough week for the CBJ in the words of coach Ken Hitchcock... "Four games in six nights against four teams ahead of us in the overall points race."

Tonight's game will be seen in spectacular HD on Fox Sports Ohio beginning at 6:30 p.m. with "Blue Jackets Live."

Oh yes, same lineup will dress for the Blue Jackets that beat the Red Wings 8-2 Saturday in Detroit.
