The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-assigned defenseman Andy Delmore to the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced Sunday.

Delmore, who was added to the roster on emergency recall on Saturday, has appeared in 282 career NHL games, tallying 43-58-101 and 105 penalty minutes with the Blue Jackets, Philadelphia, Nashville and Buffalo. Claimed off waivers by Columbus from the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 4, he has collected two penalty minutes in six games with the Blue Jackets this season. Last week, Delmore was named the winner of the Eddie Shore Award as the AHL's Oustanding Defenseman. He is the AHL's top scoring defenseman this season as he has registered 17-55-72 with 46 penalty minutes, a +4 plus/minus rating and 11 power goals in 66 games with Syracuse.

The Blue Jackets and Chicago Blackhawks play the finale of a home-and-home set tonight at the United Center. Game time is set for 7 p.m. (ET). The game will be televised live on FSN Ohio with the Ice Breaker pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be carried live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM (1460 the Fan) and WWCD-FM (CD101).
