May 10, 2009 - Blue Jackets prosepct Sergei Mozyakin won a Gold Medal with Team Russia at the 2009 World Championships. Forward Kristian Huselius won the Bronze Medal with Team Sweden.
Team Russia defeated Team Canada 2-1 in the Gold Medal Game on Sunday, May 10. Mozyakin finished the tournament with two goals and two assists for four points, 10 shots on goal, two penalty minutes, and a +2 plus/minus rating.
Huselius and Team Sweden captured the Bronze Medal by defeating Team USA 4-2 in the third place game. He finished the tournament with four goals and three assists for seven points, 17 shots on goal, one game-winning goal, and a +3 plus/minus rating.

May 8, 2009 - Blue Jackets prospect Sergei Mozyakin and Team Russia advanced to the championship match earlier Friday with a 3-2 victory over the United States.
Kristian Huselius and Team Sweden will face the United States in the bronze medal match after dropping their semi-final game 3-1 against Team Canada. Both matches will take place on Sunday.
May 7, 2009 -Kristian Huselius and Blue Jackets prospect Sergei Mozyakin each advanced to the semi-final round with Team Sweden and Team Russia respectively at the 2009 World Championships.
Huselius and Team Sweden defeated the Czech Republic 3-1 earlier Thursday to earn a match-up with Team Canada on Friday in the second semi-final game. After defeating Team Belarus 4-3 on Wednesday, Mozyakin and Team Russia will square off against Team USA in the first semi-final game. The winner of each semi-final game will meet in the championship game, while the other two squads will play for the bronze, on Sunday.
Through six games Huselius has registered four goals and three assists for seven points. He is currently tied for fifth amongst goal scorers in the tournament. Mozyakin has two goals and two assists for four points in four games.
May 5, 2009 - Kristian Huselius continues to play well as he tallied one goal and one assist for two points in Team Sweden's 6-3 victory over France last night. Huselius also earned a +2 plus/minus rating in the game as Sweden advanced to the quarterfinal round with the victory.
Through five games Huselius has registered four goals and three assists for seven points and has a +4 plus/minus rating.
Sweden will face the Team Czech Republic on Thursday, May 7 with the winner advancing to the semi-final round. Meanwhile, Blue Jackets prospect Sergei Mozyakin and Team Russia will face Team Belarus in their quarterfinal match-up on May 6.

Through four games, Huselius has registered three goals and two assists for five points and has a +1 plus/minus rating. Sweden will face France tonight in its last game of the preliminary round.
Russia and Blue Jackets prospect Sergei Mozyakin punched their ticket to the quarterfinal round with a 4-1 win over the United States and a 6-1 win against Latvia over the weekend. Mozyakin registered a goal and assist against the United States and assisted on Russia's first goal in the victory over Latvia. In three games, he has tallied two goals and two assists for four points on five shots. He is currently a +2 in the tournament.
May 1, 2009 - Kristian Huselius netted two goals and an assist in Sweden's 6-5 loss to Russia Thursday night. The left winger scored two goals in the third period. After Huselius scored his first goal in the third period to give Team Sweden a 4-3 lead, Blue Jackets prospect Sergei Mozyakin scored to even the game just 22 seconds later for Team Russia. After the Russians took a 5-4 lead, Huselius scored his second of the night with 1:14 remaining to tie the game at five and force overtime. He also tallied an assist on Sweden's first goal at 2:53 of the first period.
Through three games with Team Sweden Huselius has registered three goals and two assists for five points and has a +1 plus/minus rating. He has tallied eight shots in the tournament. For Team Russia, Mozyakin had one goal for one point in his first game of the tournament.
Sweden will face Switzerland, which was upset by Latvia 2-1 in a shootout, on Sunday and France on Monday. Russia will square off against the Team USA tomorrow and Latvia on Sunday. The quarterfinal round starts May 6.
April 29, 2009 - Huselius played a major role in Sweden's 6-5 overtime victory over the United States Wednesday night (April 29). In his second game since joining Sweden at the World Championships, Huselius scored the game-winning goal 1:59 into the extra period. He also registered an assist on Sweden's fourth goal which helped overcome a 5-2 deficit with 12 minutes remaining in regulation.
