Huselius Returns to Jackets Lineup Tonight against Atlanta

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

March 11

After missing the last two games on the Blue Jackets West Coast trip Kristian Huselius will be back patrolling the left side of the top line with Antoine Vermette and call-up Maksim Mayorov on the right side.

Huselius, I thought, was flying around the ice in this morning's skate and it was a bit of a surprise actually to see him on the ice. Coach Noel last night on his weekly radio show on 97.1 said he didn't expect Huselius to even practice this morning let alone play tonight! In fact, he gave Rick Nash a better chance of participating in the skate and possibly playing tonight. That will not be the case! Nash will not play tonight and the way Noel spoke this morning he is not likely to play Saturday against division rival St. Louis either.

One thought on Mayorov, I thought he looked good in Anaheim Tuesday night. The 20-year old winger has great speed and I believe for him to be successful at the NHL level he must play on a top line and he will do that tonight with the skilled Huselius and Vermette.

Mathieu Garon after an outstanding effort in the Jackets 5-2 win over the Ducks makes his second straight start.

Game time at Nationwide is 7 p.m. Coverage on FOX Sports Ohio in HD begins at 6:30.
