Kristian Huselius has been activated off Injured Reserve by the Blue Jackets this afternoon and will be in the lineup tonight at Nationwide as the Jackets host the Anaheim Ducks at 7 p.m. Huselius will be re-united with Rick Nash and Antoine Vermette on the CBJ's top line.
In the meantime the Blue Jackets will be without both Raffi Torres and Sammy Pahlsson tonight. Torres, after getting hit in the mouth with a puck, will likely miss the two remaining games on the homestand, tonight and Monday against Edmonton. Pahlsson may or may not return to the lineup Monday against the Oilers.
One other lineup change tonight sees Mike Commodore scratched from the lineup. The coaching staff feels Commodore's conditioning is an issue and as coach Hitchcock put it this morning... "Commodore fades badly with energy in the second half of games." So the coaches will in Hitch's words, put the veteran defenseman through four days of "hard practice" and Mike should be ready to go Monday. Kris Russell draws in for Commodore.
Mathieu Garon makes his first start at home for the Blue Jackets this evening, with Steve Mason getting the night off before returning to the nets Monday against the Oilers.
If your wondering tonight's game is in HD, with our coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Blue Jackets Live on FOX Sports Ohio.
