Huselius Activated Off Injured Reserve

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Kristian Huselius off injured reserve, club Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Huselius has missed the season’s first 25 games due to a pectoral injury suffered while lifting weights in his native Sweden in early July.

Huselius, 33, has registered 190 goals and 261 assists for 451 points and has 254 penalty minutes in 660 career NHL games with Florida, Calgary and Columbus. The Panthers’ second pick, 47th overall in the 1997 Entry Draft, has tallied 58-84-142 and 90 penalty minutes in 187 games with the Blue Jackets since signing with the club as a free agent on July 2, 2008.

The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when the club visits the Edmonton Oilers. Game time from Rexall Place is set for 9:30 p.m. ET.
