8:33 P.M. -- SECOND PERIOD ANALYSIS: The place is jumping, and for good reason. The Blue Jackets rebounded with a strong second period and lead 3-1 over St. Louis through 40 minutes inside a rocking Nationwide Arena. Columbus put 10 shots on goal in the period and scored on two of them - and the final eight minutes of the period was some solid hockey from the Jackets. Their puck support has been very good and they were much cleaner in front of Bobrovsky in the second period. 7:45 P.M. - FIRST PERIOD ANALYSIS: One hell of an opening period at Nationwide Arena, and you'd expect that with so much on the line. The Blue Jackets got an equalizer from Cam Atkinson late in the first period after Kevin Shattenkirk got the scoring started in the first 90 seconds of the game, and that's where we stand after 20 minutes. The Blues have had two power plays - killed off by Columbus - and lead in shots by a 12-6 margin. 2:50 P.M. - BOB AND DAN'S PREVIEW Assistant coach Dan Hinote and Bob McElligott have all of your game day information and news in our Game Day Preview on Jackets TV: 2:45 P.M. -- HEAR FROM THE COACH: Check out head coach Todd Richards' pre-game talk with the media below on Jackets TV: 2:40 P.M. -- Another #CBJSocial contest! 11:48 A.M. -- GAME DAY PHOTOS: We took our usual trip around the rink today to bring you the coolest shots from the morning skate. Check them out!
10:10 A.M. -- PROSPAL: Vinny Prospal - who was worn a visor before during his NHL career - is practicing with a shield today and it appears he will be using it in tonight's game.
10:05 A.M. -- LINEUP NOTES: Todd Richards will have some lineup decisions to make tonight, as his club appears to be getting back to full health again. Brandon Dubinsky, Jared Boll and Colton Gillies are all skating today and are possibilities to draw back in this evening. If Dubinsky plays, expect Richards to ease him back in on the fourth line.
10:00 A.M. -- AND WE'RE OFF -- The Blue Jackets morning skate is underway at Nationwide Arena. The updates will be flowing throughout the morning, and we'll start with Sergei Bobrovsky starting in goal tonight vs. St. Louis.
8:30 A.M. -- BOONE TO SPRINGFIELD: After a decorated junior hockey career, Blue Jackets prospect Boone Jenner is taking the next step and will join the Springfield Falcons this week. The 19-year-old center scored a career-high 45 goals this year with the Oshawa Generals and looks to add another element as the Falcons chase the Calder Cup.

7:30 A.M. -- GAME DAY PREVIEW: The Blues and Blue Jackets are pretty much in the same boat - win your remaining games and get yourself into the playoffs. St. Louis is red-hot, having won six straight and the Blue Jackets are coming off a big 4-0 win over the Sharks.
6:30 A.M. -- LET'S DO THIS! All right, friends...it's that time again. The Blue Jackets are a few hours from getting game day officially underway with the morning skate, and a big game looms against the Blues tonight at Nationwide Arena.
Entering tonight, the Blue Jackets are three points back of the Detroit Red Wings for eighth place in the Western Conference with eight games remaining. The margin for error dwindles with each passing day, and tonight's game is no different - the Jackets have to defend home ice and pick up points before they head out on a nine-day road trip.
