Friday 5: Brandon Dubinsky's top five goals as a Blue Jacket

by Alex Busch / Columbus Blue Jackets

"Who says a 4-on-3 is tough?"

After Brandon Dubinsky and the Blue Jackets agreed to terms on a six-year contract extension last Friday, we look back at his top five goals scored with the Jackets during the past two seasons.

First, we'll reflect on a goal scored early last season against the Maple Leafs.

Dubinsky and the Blue Jackets were shorthanded (4-on-3 to be precise), and Dubinsky corralled the puck deep in his own zone. He skated the puck out of the zone along the boards with tremendous speed, which opened up a 2-on-1 rush with Mark Letestu on the left side. Dubinsky looked off the pass, opening himself up to the net, and fired a beaming wrist shot over the glove hand of Jonathan Bernier.
