Expect a "Spirited" Affair Tonight at Nationwide

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

March 28

Most of the time when folks predict that a particular hockey game will be a physical one... it rarely turns out that way... tonight might be the exception!!

After another disappointing loss to the Predators in Nashville Tuesday night... the Blue Jackets want to "derail" the Predators hopes of making the playoffs and as coach Hitchcock told the gathering media in his post pre-game skate news conference... if the Jackets aren't headed to the playoffs... they don't want another Central Division in the post season either!

Jared Boll returns to the lineup tonight from a painfully hip-pointer meaning Alexandre Picard returns to Syracuse due to his emergency recall and Boll, forced to watch Tuesday's game, is fired up for this one and wants to help the Blue Jackets beat Nashville not to mention the late game antics of Jordan Tootoo!

I fully expect the fur to fly tonight... if you catch my drift.

I should add that the NHL commissioner Gary Bettman will be in the building and he will be my guest in the first intermission. Should be an interesting night.

The game can be seen on FSN Ohio... beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Blue Jackets live.
