TRIO RACKS UP POINTS: Center Zenon Konopka and left wings Curtis Glencross and Joakim Lindstrom have meshed well together helping Syracuse to their current five-game win streak. In the Crunch's last five games Konopka (3g, 5a), Glencross (2g, 5a) and Lindstrom (2g, 3a) have combined for 20 of the Crunch's 43 points scored.
POPPERLE ON ROLL: Goaltender Tomas Popperle appeared in all three games for Syracuse last week with a 3-0-0 record, stopping 72 of 78 shots faced. Popperle has posted a 10 wins in his last 12 games. At the beginning of the 2006-07 season it took Popperle 25 appearances to post 10 wins (10-11-2-2). Through 42 games this season, Popperle has posted a 23-16-3 record, a 2.78 goals against average and a .903 save percentage. His 23 victories rank him fifth for most wins by a goaltender. A native of Broumov, Czech Republic, Popperle was drafted by Columbus in the fifth round, 131st overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

He recorded his 100th career AHL point, an assist on Sunday, March 25 at Rochester. In 59 games with Syracuse this season, Verot has registered a career high 8 goals, 12 assists and 197 penalty minutes.
NATIONWIDE INSURANCE COLUMBUS UPDATE: The Blue Jackets had a perfect week as well going 4-0-0, beating Chicago 5-2 on Tuesday, March 20, defeating Detroit 2-1 in a shootout on Thursday, March 22, beating St. Louis 4-1 on Sunday, March 25 and defeating St. Louis 4-1 on Tuesday, March 27. Defensemen Derrick Walser and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen each tallied two goals, while center Geoff Platt, and defenseman Marc Methot each put up two assists, while left wing Alexandre Picard got on the scoresheet with an assist during the week.

The Crunch are 2-3-0-1 against Binghamton after losing to the Senators 5-4 in a shootout on January 20 at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
