Although the Crunch have started with an 0-3-0-0 record on the road this season, one place that has been very kind to them over the last two years is the War Memorial at Oncenter.

Since the beginning of the 2007-08 season, the Crunch have gone 53-20-4-4 at the War Memorial, including this past Saturday's home opening 6-1 win over Adirondack. That mark is good for a .726 winning percentage.

In those 81 games, the Crunch have outscored their opponents by a combined 265-198 margin, averaging 3.27 goals per game in the process, while only giving up 2.44 goals per game.

From 2007-08 – 2008-09, only the Providence Bruins (54-21-2-4, 113 pts.) and Bridgeport Sound Tigers (53-21-1-5, 112 pts.) had better records in their own arenas than the Crunch (52-20-4-4, 112 pts.).

PELLETIER PACKS SCORING PUNCH FOR CRUNCH: Pascal Pelletier kept up the scoring pace he set for himself after recording two points (1g, 1a) in his Crunch debut on October 3 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by tallying another four points (1g, 3a) in three games for the Crunch this past weekend.

Pelletier picked up a power play assist in a 6-2 loss at Binghamton Friday night before exploding for a Crunch individual season-high three points (1g, 2a) in a 6-1 win vs. Adirondack on Saturday. For his effort, he was named the game's first star.

Pelletier leads the Crunch in overall scoring with six points (2g, 4a) and power play scoring with three points (1g, 2a). A native of Labrador City, Newfoundland, Pelletier was signed by Columbus as a free agent on July 6, 2009.

NORFOLK ADMIRALS (TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING): The Crunch welcome in new East Division foe Norfolk to the War Memorial at Oncenter for the first of six meetings against the Admirals this year. The Crunch have not faced Norfolk since these two clubs clashed four times during the 2002-03 season. Syracuse is 5-8-1 in 14 all-time meetings between the two teams.

WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON PENGUINS (PITTSBURGH PENGUINS): The Crunch make their second trip of the season to Wilkes-Barre on Saturday to take on the Baby Pens in the second of eight match-ups between the two clubs this year. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton defeated the Crunch back on October 3 by a 4-2 count on the strength of three points each from Wyatt Smith (2g, 1a) and Chris Connor (1g, 2a). Pascal Pelletier and Alexandre Picard had two points (1g, 1a) each, while defenseman Brent Regner chipped in two assists in his first professional game. The Crunch are 37-32-10 in 79 all-time meetings between the two clubs.
