Happy Friday, everyone!

Hockey season has arrived and it's a sight for sore eyes. On-ice sessions at Blue Jackets Training Camp presented by our good friends at OhioHealth began yesterday, we're going to have a full-team scrimmage at Nationwide Arena on Saturday and the team's first exhibition game is on Sunday at home. It's really happening.

A couple of housekeeping items before we get started with this week's links: first, a note about the scrimmage on Saturday morning. Doors open to the OhioHealth Ice Haus at 9:30 a.m. and the first group will skate prior to the scrimmage. The first 1,000 fans at practice on Saturday will get a free "Give 'Em Health" t-shirt from OhioHealth - and it's a cool shirt. I've seen it (it's also posted on our Facebook page) and you're going to want one.

Ok, let's get right to the links:

- SB Nation's Cannon blog has a lot of great content from the early days of camp. First, a look at the roster battle among the bottom six forwards. Second, an update on RJ Umberger and his offseason.

- Dan P. from The Cannon also examines the Blue Jackets captaincy and when fans can expect a decision.

- Our guy CBJ Prospects checked in on The Union Blue to recap the Traverse City tournament, which he attended all week and had first-hand knowledge of everything Blue Jackets prospects.

- Rick Gethin from FOX Sports Ohio looks at how life might be different for the Blue Jackets in a new division this season.

- Here's a cool piece from Union & Blue: a review of Blue Jackets-centric and general NHL podcasts. Where do the guys from DKM Hockey rank?
