Jackets Match Franchise-Record Winning Streak at Home: Columbus' 2-1 shootout win over Nashville on Jan. 12 extended one streak and ended another for the club… The win was the fifth in a row on home ice, tying the franchise record set from Jan. 20-Feb. 8, 2006... The streak began with a 2-0 win over Atlanta on Dec. 26 and includes wins against Carolina (4-1 on Dec. 29), Edmonton (4-2 on Dec. 31) and St. Louis (6-4 on Jan. 11)… The win over Nashville also snapped a 12-game losing streak against the Predators (0-10-2) dating back to Apr. 3, 2006.

Standings Update: With 48 points in 45 games, Columbus is two points behind second place St. Louis (22-15-6) in the Central Division standings, three points out of eighth place (Colorado, 24-18-3, 51 pts.) and six points out of fifth place in the Western Conference.

Nash Selected to Third All-Star Game: LW Rick Nash was selected to represent the Blue Jackets at the 2008 All-Star Game to be played on January 27 at Philips Arena in Atlanta. The selection is Nash's third-straight as he was scoreless in his All-Star debut in 2004 and registered 2-2-4 in last year's game. The All-Star Game was not held in 2005 and 2006. The two other Blue Jackets who have represented the club at the All-Star Game are: Espen Knutsen (2002) and Ray Whitney (2003).

Fedorov Streaking: C Sergei Fedorov is riding a five-game point scoring streak as he has tallied 2-5-7 since the streak began on Jan. 2 at Anaheim.

Lindstrom Making an Impact: LW Joakim Lindstrom has tallied 1-4-5 in his last seven games and has collected 2-4-6 in 11 games during his two stints with the club this season. Last week, he and fellow Syracuse Crunch players C Derick Brassard and D Clay Wilson were selected to play in the 2008 American Hockey League All-Star Game on Jan. 28 in Binghamton, New York. Lindstrom and Brassard are both currently with the Blue Jackets.

Fritsche and Peca Scoring When it Counts: C Michael Peca has tallied 4-12-16 in 30 games this season with all four goals being game-winners (leads the team)… RW Dan Fritsche has collected 7-6-13 in 43 games and is tied for second on the club with three game-winning goals.



BLUE JACKETS AUTOGRAPH SESSION AT THE MALL AT TUTTLE CROSSING ON FEB. 3: The Blue Jackets will be meeting fans and signing autographs at The Mall at Tuttle Crossing on Sunday, February 3 from 2 to 3 p.m.

HOCKEY FEST SCORES WITH FANS, RAISES OVER $100,000: The Third Annual Hockey Fest carnival and auction, hosted by the Blue Jackets, at Nationwide Arena on Jan. 13 was attended by over 2,000 fans and raised over $100,000 for the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation. The foundation's four pillars of giving are: pediatric cancer, education, children's health and safety, and youth and amateur hockey.
