Blue Jackets in the Western Conference Standings: With 67 points in 64 games, Columbus stands in third place in the Central Division and 11th in the Western Conference. The Jackets trail Vancouver and Nashville (tied for seventh place) by five points, sixth place Minnesota by six points and fifth place San Jose by seven points in the conference standings.

Jackets Continue Strong Road Play; Look to Halt Home Skid: The Blue Jackets posted a 3-2-0 record on their recent five-game road trip, which matched the longest of the season. Columbus played five-straight road games from Jan. 17-24 and posted a 3-2-0 record in games vs. Phoenix, Dallas (twice), Colorado and Chicago. Since beginning the season with a 6-12-2 road record, Columbus has gone 7-5-1 since Jan. 17, including a 6-3-1 mark in its last 10 away from home. The Jackets will try to halt a season-high five-game winless streak at home (0-3-2) on Wednesday vs. San Jose before heading back on the road for three-straight games at Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary from Feb. 29-Mar. 4.

Vs. Leclaire Enjoys Happy Homecoming; Garners NHL-Best Ninth Shutout: Making his first NHL start in his hometown, G Pascal Leclaire made 31 saves to earn his ninth shutout of the season in a 3-0 win at Montreal on Feb. 23. The shutout was the second in his last 10 starts. He continues to rank among the NHL's top goaltenders with a 22-13-4 record, 2.12 goals-against average (3rd in NHL), .924 save percentage (2nd in NHL) and nine shutouts (1st in NHL). He is one shutout shy of doubling the previous club record of five (Marc Denis, 2002-03 and 2003-04).

Miscellaneous Notes: All-Star LW Rick Nash has tallied 7-3-10 in his last 10 games with goals in six of those contests to raise his season totals to 33-20-53, including 10 PPG, 5 GWG and 4 SHG… C Michael Peca has tallied 2-13-15 in his last 23 games, including 0-7-7 in his last seven outings… LW Fredrik Modin has notched 3-2-5 in six games since returning to the lineup on Feb. 13… C Manny Malhotra tallied 1-1-2 at Montreal on Feb. 23 to snap a 26-game goal scoring drought.



TUESDAY, FEB. 26: Hats For Heroes Night at bd's mongolian barbeque restaurants The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation, the Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge #9 and Columbus-area bd's mongolian barbeque restaurants will host Hats For Heroes Night on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Fans are invited to join Pascal Leclaire (Arena District), Jared Boll (Dublin) and Dan Fritsche (Easton) along with the team's broadcasters and arena personalities for dinner at the their respective bd's mongolian barbeque locations from 6:30-7:30 p.m. In addition to meeting fans and signing autographs, players will be joined by local "heroes," young children battling pediatric cancer and life-threatening illnesses, and their families. At each restaurant, Hats For Heroes merchandise and $1 paper hats will be on sale with all proceeds benefiting the pediatric oncology unit at Nationwide Children's Hospital and other organizations dedicated to the fight against pediatric cancer. All tips earned that night will be donated to Hats For Heroes.

FEB. 27 VS. SAN JOSE:  Willie O'Ree Night Fans can celebrate the 50th anniversary of hockey legend Willie O'Ree becoming the first African American to play in the NHL. O'Ree, who made history on Jan. 18, 1958, when he suited up for the Boston Bruins in a game against Montreal, will be on hand when the Jackets host the Sharks at Nationwide Arena… Jackets Night Out – Package includes two tickets, two beers and two Donatos pizzas for just $55 (fans 21 years of age and older)… All You Can Night – Package includes and upper level ticket and all you can eat food for just $35.
