Columbus Blue Jackets Trim Training Camp Roster by Three Players

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets made their fourth roster moves of training camp today, assigning two players to the Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, and releasing one other from his tryout contract, General Manager Scott Howson announced. The current training camp roster consists of 37 players.

The two players assigned to Syracuse were: defenseman Andrey Plekhanov and goaltender Dan LaCosta. In addition, the club released goaltender Sebastian Dahm from his tryout contract.

The Blue Jackets return to preseason action Thursday when they host the Buffalo Sabres. Game time at Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for 2008-09 regular season home games are on sale now at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line at The Mall at Tuttle Crossing, The Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers.
