Columbus Blue Jackets, ThorWorks Industries Announce Two-Year Extension of Corporate Partnership

by Blue Jackets Staff / Columbus Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today that the National Hockey League franchise has signed a two-year renewal of its corporate partnership with Sandusky-based ThorWorks Industries, a worldwide leader in specialty-coatings and sport surfaces. The agreement will continue through the 2010-11 season. ThorWorks Industries became a team partner during the 2008-09 season.

The partnership will focus on in-arena promotion of ThorWorks Industries' unique FUN SAND product. FUN SAND is a dust-free, non-toxic play sand for indoor and outdoor use, and is available in stunning Vibrant Blue and Brilliant Purple colors. FUN SAND's unique "lifelike" properties (the product is semi-moldable and seemingly "comes to life" in a user’s hands) foster imagination and build hand-eye coordination in children. FUN SAND is created using a proprietary Dust Lock Additive Technology, which means cleaner, safer sand play indoors and out. FUN SAND is enviro-friendly, and may even be used in reptile enclosures.

ThorWorks Industries manufactures quality coatings and specialized equipment for applications including pavement, roof, foundation, concrete, sport surfaces, agriculture and more. For more information, please visit www.thorworks.com and www.funsand.net.
