ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA – The Columbus Blue Jackets wrapped up their 12th National Hockey League Entry Draft on Saturday, June 25 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, by selecting six players during rounds two through seven.

"We are pleased with our results in this draft," Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson said. "Not having a first round pick made it a challenge, but we managed to add to the depth of our organization at all positions."

Columbus used its second round pick to select center Boone Jenner with the 37th overall selection. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound native of Dorchester, Ontario registered 25 goals and 41 assists for 66 points, had 57 penalty minutes and was +10 in 63 games with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League last season. He ranked third on the club in assists and points. In 128 career OHL games, he has tallied 44-71-115 and 148 penalty minutes and was named to the 2009-10 OHL All-Rookie team.

The Blue Jackets acquired a third round pick, 66th overall, from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for left wing Nikita Filatov. The club used the pick to select center T.J. Tynan. The Orland Park, Illinois native collected 23-31-54, 36 penalty minutes and was +21 in 44 games with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association in 2010-11.
