COLUMBUS, OHIO ---The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Sonny Milano and defenseman Cameron Gaunce from the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate and assigned left wing Jordan Schroeder and defenseman Gabriel Carlsson to the AHL team, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Milano, 21, has recorded five goals and five assists for 10 points with four penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 25 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has added 0-2-2 in four contests with Cleveland. The Massapequa, New York native has notched 5-6-11 and four penalty minutes in 32 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and added 32-53-85 and 46 penalty minutes in 131 career AHL games with the Monsters and Springfield Falcons since making his pro debut at the end of the 2014-15 campaign. He was the club's first round pick, 16th overall, in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Gaunce, 27, has collected 0-5-5 with 27 penalty minutes and an "even" plus/minus rating in 20 contests with the Monsters this season. He has posted 2-3-5 and 36 penalty minutes in 32 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche since making his NHL debut in 2010-11. The Sudbury, Ontario native has added 21-131-152, 583 penalty minutes and a +66 plus/minus rating in 488 career AHL games with the Monsters, Portland Pirates and Texas Stars. Colorado's second round selection, 50th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft, he was signed by Columbus to a two-year, two-way NHL/AHL contract on July 1, 2017.
Schroeder, 27, has registered two penalty minutes in eight games with the Blue Jackets and has added 2-5-7 with six penalty minutes in 13 games with the Monsters this season. He has posted 17-23-40 with 12 penalty minutes and a +8 plus/minus rating in 152 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks. The Prior Lake, Minnesota native has added 79-123-202 and 84 penalty minutes in 305 career AHL games with Cleveland, Iowa, Utica, Chicago and Manitoba. Acquired from Minnesota in exchange for center Dante Salituro on June 23, 2017, Schroeder was Vancouver's first round pick, 22nd overall, in the 2009 NHL Draft.
Carlsson, 20, has recorded 0-1-1 and two penalty minutes in 10 games with the Blue Jackets and has skated in five games with the Monsters this season. He has tallied 0-2-2 and two penalty minutes in 12 career regular season games since making his NHL debut at the end of the 2016-17 season. The Orebro, Sweden native has collected 0-1-1, six penalty minutes and is +1 in eight career AHL games with Cleveland. He was Columbus' second first round pick, 29th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft.
