Columbus Blue Jackets Recall Forward Greg Moore from the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Greg Moore from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager Scott Howson announced April 3.

Moore, 25, has registered 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points and 38 penalty minutes in 77 combined games with the Crunch and Bridgeport Sound Tigers this season. He was acquired by the Blue Jackets from the New York Islanders in exchange for defenseman Dylan Reese on March 1. In 286 career AHL games, Moore has collected 77-95-172, 140 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +4 with Syracuse, Bridgeport and Hartford. He has added 3-10-13 and 12 penalty minutes in 31 career Calder Cup playoff games.

Calgary's fifth pick, 143rd overall, in the 2003 Entry Draft, Moore appeared in six games with the NY Rangers in 2007-08, making his NHL debut Nov. 21, 2007 at Tampa Bay. Prior to his professional career, the Lisbon, Maine native spent four seasons at the University of Maine, where he collected 66-41-107 and 117 penalty minutes in 154 games spanning the 2002-06 seasons.
