COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Alexandre Picard from the Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, Blue Jackets General Manager Scott Howson announced April 12.
Picard collected 0-1-1 and 26 penalty minutes with a -1 plus/minus rating in 15 games with the Blue Jackets this season and has registered two assists and 48 penalty minutes 58 career games. The Les Saules, Quebec-native tallied 22-10-32 and 107 penalty minutes including seven power-play goals in 49 games with Crunch this season. He closed the season scoring 20 goals in the final 22 games.
Game 1 of the Blue Jackets Stanley Cup Playoffs first round best-of-seven series against the defending champion Detroit Red Wings is set for Thursday, Apr. 16. Face-off at Joe Louis Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. All Blue Jackets Stanley Cup Playoffs games will be broadcast live on the Wheeling Island Hotel Casino Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101. The FOX Sports Ohio television broadcast schedule will be released prior to the start of the series.
