COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have added forward Maksim Mayorov to the roster on emergency recall from the Springfield Falcons, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced March 8.
Mayorov, 22, has collected 1-0-1 and two penalty minutes in eight games with Columbus this season. In 20 career NHL games, he has notched 2-0-2 and two penalty minutes. He has recorded 8-10-18 and eight penalty minutes in 34 games with the Falcons this season. In his fourth season playing in North American, he has tallied 61-53-114 and 78 penalty minutes in 248 career AHL games. A native of Andizhan, Russia, he was the Blue Jackets’ fifth pick, 94th overall, in the 2007 Entry Draft.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when the club hosts the Los Angeles Kings. Game time from Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET.
