Columbus Blue Jackets Place Left Wing Ethan Moreau on Injured Reserve

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed left wing Ethan Moreau on injured reserve, club Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Howson announced October 21.

Moreau, 35, suffered a broken hand in last night’s game against Anaheim and is out indefinitely. He has registered one goal and one assist for two points, eight penalty minutes and is +1 in five games with the Blue Jackets this season. The Huntsville, Ontario native was claimed off waivers by Columbus from Edmonton on June 30, 2010. In 868 career NHL games, he has collected 146-133-279 and 1,074 penalty minutes with Chicago, Edmonton and Columbus.

The Blue Jackets return to action Friday when they host the Calgary Flames. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
