Columbus Blue Jackets Place Defenseman Rostislav Klesla on Injured Reserve

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman Rostislav Klesla on Injured Reserve, club General Manager Scott Howson announced November 19. Klesla was injured in last Friday's 6-1 win at Buffalo and is expected to be sidelined at least one week.

Klesla has tallied one goal and two assists for three points with eight penalty minutes and an even plus/minus rating in 11 games with the Blue Jackets this season. The club's first pick, fourth overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft has registered 36-73-109 and 426 penalty minutes in 421 career games with Columbus.

The Blue Jackets return to action on Saturday when they visit the Atlanta Thrashers. Game time from Philips Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio HD will begin with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game will be also broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
